The role of Innovation and Emerging Technologies in the socio-economic development of post-COVID Africa
Description
The COVID-19 pandemic has been reported to have several socioeconomic impacts on countries globally. Although Africa is not the worst hit continent, socioeconomic impacts have been measured due to lockdown restrictions and disrupted trade patterns.

In this light, a series of online discussions are being held as part of the Calestous Juma Executive Dialogues in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, tackling topics that would be beneficial to the CJED alumni audience (policymakers, practitioners and senior executives).

The CJED webinar on “The role of Innovation and Emerging Technologies in the socio-economic development of post-COVID Africa” aims to establish a shared understanding of the challenges, opportunities and potential solutions in utilising emerging technologies in supporting Africa’s recovery from the impact of COVID-19 and building stronger economies and societies.

Moderator/Facilitator: Dr Dumisani Magadlela
(South Africa)
