    * Conférences scientifiques ;
    * Expositions d’œuvres, applications et expérimentations interactives et atelier de démonstrations.

Share files more easily with non-Google accounts in Drive Beta

Posted: 17 Dec 2018 12:43 PM PST

Soon, people without Google accounts will be able to view, comment, suggest edits to, and directly edit Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides files.

Organizations often work on documents with external vendors, partners, contractors, and customers. When these partners don't have Google accounts, it is a significant barrier for collaboration.

We are introducing a beta for an easy pincode identity verification process that will enable G Suite users to invite non-G Suite users to collaborate on files as visitors, using PINs (Personal Identification Numbers). Below is an example of how it works:

File owners and admins are in full control of sharing

File owners can view all the detailed activity on their files and see where it originated, and revoke access from the Drive sharing dialog at any time. Admins can manage all external sharing and audit usage. For more information on sharing settings, check out this Help Center article.

Apply to join Pincode Sharing in Drive Beta

Pincode Sharing in Drive is launching initially in beta. If you're an admin, see more details, review the eligibility requirements, and apply to join the beta.

Beta is available to all G Suite editions

Workshop on Technology Enhanced Learning for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education (TEL-STEM 2018)

http://www.newtonproject.eu/tel-stem2018/

SCOPE

Many European countries are already concerned about young people disengagement from STEM and therefore many initiatives have been developed throughout Europe to carry out innovative teaching and learning approaches at different levels trying to reverse this process.

The use of Technology enhanced Learning (TEL) approach in teaching and learning creates engaging classrooms in STEM subjects, demystifies the pre-conceived idea among learners that science technologies, engineering and maths topics are difficult, improves learning outcome and increases student motivation and engagement.

The TEL-STEM workshop is an opportunity for teachers and researchers from schools, universities, colleges and companies to share and discuss innovative practices, research initiatives and approaches that enhance face to face and online teaching practices in STEM education. We envision that the TEL-STEM 2018 will be the starting point for an annual meeting on STEM researches at future EC-TEL conferences.

Front-line researchers and authors are invited to submit original research work and state of the art review on the use of TEL in STEM education.

TOPICS

  • STEM education challenges
  • STEM for lifelong learning perspectives
  • Innovative approaches for STEM teaching and learning
  • Open and distance education and blended learning in STEM education
  • Issues of STEM assessment
  • Personalisation and Adaptation in STEM education
  • Learners motivations and needs in STEM education
  • Innovative TEL approaches for Learners with Disability
  • Teachers needs in STEM education
  • Development of 21st century skills through STEM education
  • Tools and learning environments supporting STEM Education
  • Augmented Reality for STEM teaching and learning process
  • Gamification in STEM education
  • Self-directed learning and teaching in STEM

4th International Conference on Signal, Image, Vision and their Applications, 2018

November 26-27 2018, Guelma – Algeria

The fourth edition of the international Conference on Signal, Image, Vision and their Applications (SIVA’18) aims at gathering international researchers, lecturers, and practitioners within the field of signal and image processing for exchanging experience and discussing future research avenues. The conference will offer an opportunity to bridge the gap between the signal processing research community and people from the industry or working in other research areas including medicine, biology and security. The conference would be a host for an excellent forum to meet and discuss various important issues and aspects on signal and image processing and their applications.

Similar to previous editions (SIVA’11, SIVA’13, and SIVA’15), SIVA’18 would include a balanced mix of keynote and invited speakers as well as tutorial sessions. The conference program comprises oral presentations and poster sessions. Proceedings of the conference will be printed with an ISBN and submitted for indexing at major databases including Google Scholar.

Topics:

The areas of interest include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Biomedical Imaging and signal
Image filtering and enhancement, image segmentation, pattern recognition and shape analysis, color and multispectral processing, statistical learning, image classification, feature extraction, 2D&3D modelling and processing
